Week one introduces students to the course, and starts the journey with the basics of programming, using Python.

Week two shifts into higher gear with some more advanced topics, that will give students the tools they need to create everyday useful code.

The final week sees a series of practical applications by way of solo and team coding projects.

Welcome to the first “Introduction to Coding” course by the Summer Coding team. During this course, you the student will be introduced to basic to intermediate programming concept using Python as our primary programming language of choice. You’ll also be given the opportunities to immediate put your knew knowledge to use with small, practical projects.

In this first lesson, we’ll be discussing the following:

What is coding and programming?
What is the difference between coding and programming?
What can you do with coding?
What is a programming language?
What is Python?
